Spiritual exercise is like physical exercise. Prayer prepares your heart and Scripture prepares your mind. Prayer and Scripture infused together become wisdom. This process of regular spiritual infusion gives you the emotional and mental stamina to ‘walk wisely’ within a world of hurt.

Thanks for visiting!  It is by no small coincidence that you have ended up here and I encourage you to take a look around the site.  On the Daily Dose page, you’ll find daily thoughts from daily Bible readings.  My hope and prayer is that you will be greatly encouraged by them.  On our WH Resources page you’ll find devotional books I’ve written to encourage you in your daily walk with the Lord.  Finally, we will be adding WH Podcasts in the future to provide another way of encouraging you with God’s Word.

Boyd Bailey, Chief Encouragement Officer

Boyd, founder of Wisdom Hunters^®, uses his passion of reading and studying God’s Word to create and record his daily walk with the Father through this website.  He also uses his entrepreneurial experience to assist and consult with professionals as they seek to pursue their passions.  Author, speaker and ministry leader, Boyd lives out his passion of loving others while loving God every day.

Boyd understands both sides of the “passion fence.” One side is for those who enjoy their present professional position yet want to serve through ministry and participate in a meaningful way.  The other side is for those who have chosen to be in, not around, full-time ministry.  The unique environment Boyd currently directs at Ministry Ventures^®, as it’s CEO and co-founder, evidences how a combination of ministry supporters and entrepreneurs achieve a successful ministry pursuit. Moreover, executive coaching and facilitating Wisdom Hunter roundtables are significant parts of God’s compelling call on his life.

Boyd Bailey was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and attended Jacksonville State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts.  In college he bought a service business with five employees and used his returns to finance his education.  The equity from its sale provided the economic launching pad for Boyd’s graduate school experience at Southwestern Seminary (Ft. Worth, Texas) where he was awarded a Masters of Divinity.

Boyd serves on the boards of Ministry Ventures^®, The Infocus Group, Wisdom Hunters, Treasures, Light in the Darkness, and Friends of the Good Samaritans.  He is also involved in a mentor program with 10 other younger business and ministry leaders.

Boyd and  his wife Rita have been married for 27 years and are blessed with four daughters and two son-in-laws who love Jesus! He and Rita lead a couples’ community group in their home in Roswell, Georgia. Boyd has co-authored a small group curriculum, written several articles, and just completed his third book, Seeking Daily the Heart of God, which is currently available in the WH Resources area.
