About Us
What exactly is Wisdom Hunters?
We are glad you asked! Wisdom Hunters was inspired by Proverbs 13:20, “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
The Christian life was never meant to live alone, in fact, we grow wise as a result of daily spending time in the Word and surrounding ourselves with those striving to live accordingly.
For over 30 years, Boyd Bailey, has begun each day as a wisdom hunter, diligently searching for truth in Holy Scripture in the early quiet hours of the morning from the couch in his living room, with a cup of coffee, journal and pen in hand.
In 2004, he began to informally email out his personal reflections from his mornings devotional time to select group of fellow wisdom hunters. Overtime, these informal emails grew into Wisdom Hunters Daily devotional, and today, thanks to our friends Family Christian Bookstore, reach over 9,500 wisdom hunters each morning.
Boyd still remains relentless in his pursuit of wisdom and and continues to daily write a raw, original ‘real time’ reflection from his personal time with the Lord which you can read here, our Wisdom Hunters blog, or sign-up on our home page to receive the daily devotional email. We are also excited to begin providing each day’s devotional on our new Facebook fan page and an excerpt each day on twitter.
