“You will never regret growing a loving, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.”
Thoughts from daily Bible reading for today – March 19, 2025
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Isaiah 43:18-19a
If only. If only I had chosen a different treatment. If only we held back our first grader. If only I had listened. We can “if only” ourselves into an exhaustion of regrets. Why is it that we struggle with regrets? We have regrets because we are imperfect humans who sometimes make choices that lead to disappointment, pain, or missed opportunities. Regret is a natural emotional response when we reflect on what could have been different in our past decisions, actions, or relationships. Failing to pursue a dream, and now it seems too late to consider. Unwise choices related to careers, relationships, or habits fuel regrets. Harsh words were spoken in anger over feeling betrayed. Ignoring God’s guidance, compromising integrity, or choosing worldly desires over faith. Thankfully, there is good news: regrets do not have the final say when we follow the Way.
God does not want you to live in regret; He desires you to experience forgiveness, freedom, and a fresh start. His heart is full of grace and redemption; when you surrender your mistakes to Him, He transforms them into something good. The Lord forgives and frees you when you confess and repent of past sins. Have you given yourself permission to forgive and free yourself? Giving yourself permission to forgive means choosing freedom over past guilt. It’s about releasing shame and pain and receiving grace and peace in their place. It’s about letting go of resentment, trusting God for justice, and stepping into healing. Forgiveness isn’t a weakness—it’s a strength. When you forgive, you free yourself to live fully, love deeply, and move forward in faith.
What does it look like to move forward in faith? The apostle Paul explains in Philippians 3:13-14, NIV: “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Moving forward in faith means trusting God even when you can’t see the entire path. It involves letting go of fear, stepping out in obedience, and believing in His promises. You walk with confidence, knowing He’s guiding you. It’s about choosing trust over doubt, hope over regret, and surrendering your plans to His perfect will. Maybe you feel called to leave a stable job to pursue mission work, ministry, or a faith-driven business. You don’t have all the answers—no guaranteed income, no clear roadmap—just a deep conviction that the Spirit is leading. Pray, trust God, and be bold. Over time, doors open, opportunities arise, and provision comes in ways you never expected.
You will never regret growing a loving, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. There are no regrets with Love. Following Jesus means living with no regrets because His path leads to peace, purpose, and eternal life. You may face challenges, but you’ll never regret trusting Him. His love fills the empty places, His grace covers mistakes, and His guidance brings true fulfillment. When you follow Jesus, you trade fear for faith, guilt for forgiveness, and uncertainty for divine direction. Every step with Him brings growth, joy, and deeper meaning. Looking back, you won’t regret surrendering to Christ—you will only wish you had followed Him sooner. With Jesus, every step is a great adventure with no regrets. Forget what is behind and look ahead to heaven’s prize!

Lord, guide me to live with no regrets, fully trusting You. Help me walk in faith, love boldly, forgive freely, and follow Your purpose. Let my life glorify You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
