I post alot of scripture on my cubicle to remind me who I work for! “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for men” Colossians 3:23
The church is a hospital for sinners, not s country club for saints. Get outside the 4 walls regularly!
“Trust God. Love people.” Daily I live by this, reminding self to love and forgive in every situation. Great de-stressor and peace restorer.
The daily wisdom reaches my soul each and every day. Whether I am happy or in the depth of sorrow it touch me so that I know my Lord loves me and is with me each and every day, each and every moment.
Wisdom Hunters came along in my life at a time when I’ve been seeking something more spiritually. It has become an integral part of my daily walk. Thanks for what you do, your impact is far reaching.
Just go with God’s flow. As a new teacher, I have quickly learned that no matter how well you plan, there will always be something that changes. They aren’t always bad things either! Oft times, it’s the students who think of something that I totally overlooked, and I end up learning from them or right along with them. It’s these detours and side-streets that can be the most memorable and rewarding, just as it is in life with God. No matter how well we plan, God’s plan is infinitely better. He will take us to places we never dreamed of going to, do things we thought were impossible, and bring amazing people into our lives we never would have met otherwise. Yes, it’s good to have a basic plan, but don’t fret when you see a detour sign ahead–trust Jesus to lead you while you embrace the adventure! He’s always there to give you directions when you ask, and He won’t leave you stranded. He loves each and every one of us–He will leave the flock to find one lost sheep! So as long as we love Him with all our hearts and trust Him completely, everything will turn out just fine. No matter what, His way will be better than any of us could ever imagine! ♥
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV
My sister has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and your “Hurting Spouse” for my brother-in-law was so timely! I was looking for words of encouragement and your Wisdom Hunter devotional was straight heaven to his heart! (and mine) Thank you for such quality and bibilical excellence in your devotions. may God richly bless you and yours!
I would like to read these messages each day while at work, they’re quite inspirational.
It’s a joyful attitude in the middle of junk that Jesus blesses. Your boss may be unreasonable, your spouse insensitive or your child disrespectful, but the Lord and discerning people see your humble heart and will reward you with respect, rest and responsibility.
Sometimes we forget this and get caught up in the daily task at work trying to please the the big bos and get everything done. We need to step back and take a breath and remember to be joyful in the middle of all of that chaos that is in our life, AMEN!!
If we would remember we work for The Lord an give him the glory everyday for our job then that peace run th over for an to us
